The only information we collect directly is what you type into a form on this site. Our consultation form asks for your name, email address, the type of matter you are interested in, and a short description of your situation. Our newsletter form asks only for an email address.
You control what you write. Please do not include confidential or sensitive details about a legal matter in a web form. Until we have run a conflicts check and signed an engagement letter, no attorney-client relationship exists, and information you send is not protected by the attorney-client privilege.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for advertising purposes.
Form submissions are delivered through a third-party form service and stored in our email system. Our website is served by a third-party hosting provider. These vendors process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or where our professional obligations demand it.
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses and browser information, for security and performance purposes.
Inquiries that do not become engagements are kept only as long as needed for conflicts checking and our own records. Client files are retained for the period required by the New York Rules of Professional Conduct and applicable law.
You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond.
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
